Biosensitive Futures

For healthy people on a healthy planet

Exchanging information and ideas about the way forward
to an ecologically sustainable, healthy and equitable society

Biosensitive Futures contributes to social change by encouraging informed discussion and debate about the social changes that will be necessary to achieve the transition to a biosensitive society.

The format of this website has recently been changed, and as a result some parts have few, if any contributions. This deficiency is being remedied over 2009.

The website now has four parts:

Part 1 - Facts and principles

This section consists of relevant information from the sciences about the human place in nature and key ecological and health issues facing societies today. These are the basis of biounderstanding.

Part 2 – Social change

This section consists of invited papers from individuals who have given thought to the social changes that will be necessary to achieve sustainable biosensitive societies. Some contributors will focus on changes in the societal arrangements – like the economic or education systems. Others will deal with practical steps that can be taken by individuals, families, community groups, businesses and governments. Go to Social Change

Part 3 – Action

Community groups and NGOs across Australia which are concerned with ecological and health issues are invited to contribute statements describing their aims, activities, achievements and problems. Go to Action

Part 4 – The Roundtable: an exchange of ideas

This part of the Program is a forum for community groups, political parties and individuals to communicate their ideas on the essential characteristics of an ecologically sustainable and healthy society of the future – and on the ways and means of achieving it. (Coming soon)
